He was also Chief Operations Officer at Society for Family Health/ Population Services International (SFH/PSI) in Nigeria and South Africa, a public health contractor in reproductive health and HIV/AIDS prevention program on behalf of the USAID and the former British Department for International Development.

Rotarian Adebowale added that the investiture which would take place on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at the Sheraton Hotels and Suites would also enable the club to induct the Board of Directors for the 2024/2025 Magical Rotary year as well as raise funds for humanitarian purposes.

According to the incoming President, Rotarian Situ, “The Rotary Club of Ikeja is 57 years old, and I’m coming in as the 57th president. It is a club founded by well-meaning people, and they are very certain about how they want the club to be: professional, service-oriented, and impacting less privileged people. And of course, they have their own ethics, codes, and policies, which are very outstanding.

“If you look at those who started the club, these are people who have been through the corporate ladder and have existed in very high positions. Accountability, policies, ethics, good conduct—and, of course, if you know about Rotary itself, it talks about being truthful, fair, and all those things. When a club follows all these regularly, it will distinguish itself from those who will not do it.

“At Rotary club of Ikeja, we believe in making an impact in what we do. That’s why we have selected certain communities where we site our projects. And the reason for that is because, when you do something consistently in a place, after a while, you will start making an impact.

“When you go to a school like the Ikeja Junior High School and you see what Rotary Club of Ikeja has done there, you will be amazed. We have virtually reconstructed all their classroom blocks. The environment shapes the mind. If you are studying in an environment that is not conducive, there’s no way you can learn. I believe that was why presidents and elders in the past decided that for meaningful impact to be made in that school, we should improve the environment.”

Situ, a strategist, Chartered Accountant, Business Consultant and Transformative Coach attended St Gregory’s College, Obalende, Lagos and obtained Bachelor of Science (Hons), Botany, from the University of Ife, Ile-Ife, Oyo State.

Situ, whose interests include Entrepreneurship, Travel, Reading and Golfing is a member of Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON), International Coaching Federation, Nigeria Institute of Management as well as a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and Institute of Directors (FIoD).

A Master Certified Coach as well as an alumnus of the Lagos Business School, Situ is happily married with a son and two daughters and he is currently the Chief Consultant cum Managing Partner of Eastgate Consulting Services.
