Akinlayo : Federal Lawmaker Lauds Oyebanji On “U.S-Investors – Driven-Trip”

 

The Ekiti State Governor Mr. Biodun Oyebanji has been given “a thumbs up” for embarking on a trip to the United States of America in an attempt to further turn the State into one of investors’ preferred Destinations in Nigeria.

“The Trip by Ekiti State Delegation to Texas, U.S which was led by Governor Oyebanji will be a great eye-opener to facilitate and encourage the much- needed Investors into the State and Nigeria as a whole”.

A Member, House of Representatives from Ekiit North Federal Constituency II, Hon. Akinlayo Davidson Kolawole expressed the view in a Statement made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti.

Hon. Kolawole described the participation of Ekiti State State at the U S- Africa Business Summit and signing of memoranda of understanding with some international firms at the Summit as an opportunity to further improve on Socio-Economic advancement in the State.

“The latest business trip has further confirmed the readiness of the present administration in the State to exploit every opportunity in and outside the Country to bring about the long-awaited infrastructural and other social amenities revolutions that could guarantee prosperity and abundance in the State.

For a meaningful development to be witnessed in a State with merger internally generated revenue IGR and federal allocation like Ekiti, there must be a collaborative efforts and proper synergy between the government of such State and serious private Investors both at home and in the diaspora.

Therefore, the resilience, determination and zeal being exhibited by the Governor to attract Investors into the State at different fora since assumption of Office, will no doubt catapult the State to a reference point of Industrial hub for other States in the Country to emulate or “a borrow a leaf” from in terms of good governance and development.

It is on note that, the Oyebanji government has also been so prudent and Accountable at handling the State resources by carrying along every Stakeholder in Ekiti Project in the management and utilisation of the resources through openness and transparency.

The inclusiveness of all stakeholders irrespective of political or religious affiliations by the Governor has no doubt created a peaceful atmosphere in the State under which every Investor will automatically prefer to transact businesses and sleep with two eyes closed”.

The Federal Lawmaker however called on other Leaders in the State to continue to contribute their quota towards the development of the State through selfless and unbaised service as being exemplified by the Governor.

The Governor has demonstrated “a good leadership quality” that every Progressive minded-Person must follow inorder to promote unity and homogeneity of Ekiti People that could fast-track rapid development and growth of every sector of State economy.

Hon. Kolawole assured the People of the State that, the current Legislators both at the State and Federal Levels will continue to cooperate with the State helmsman especially at sponsoring and supporting good legislations that will assist the Governor to develop the state.
