Alaafin Absent As Makinde Inaugurates Olubadan As New Chairman, Oyo Council of Obas

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja has been announced as the New Chairman of Oyo State Council of Obas by Governor Seyi Makinde.

The Governor makes the pronouncement at a brief event held at House of Chiefs, Agodi, Ibadan.

The Governor says the chairmanship will be rotational between the trio of Olubadan, Alaafin of Oyo and Soun of Ogbomoso-land with a period of two years each.

However, The Alaafin, Oba Akeem Owoade was conspicuously absent at the event.
