A suspected notorious armed robber, one Chima Ejikeme, who reportedly had been terrorizing traders at the Alaba International Market and Ojo area of Lagos has been arrested after his charms failed him during an operation.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the notorious 28-year old Ejikeme was arrested by FSARS operatives led by CSP Peter Gana with other armed robbers operating in Ojo and Badagry areas of Lagos.
The suspects were Lateef Alowonle, Kolade Ibrahim, Victor Otobo, Shittu Saidi, Adebowole Adenekan, Suleiman Musa and Ayinde Muiz.
They were arrested and paraded alongside other suspects arrested from other areas across the State at the State Command, Lagos.
This was confirmed by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Imohimi Edgal at the Command.
Some other suspects arrested from different areas included Matthew Oritogun, Emeka Ngwu and many others who had been terrorizing Lagosians at Suya Bus Stop while Suraji Raman a.k.a Body, 32 was arrested in Shomolu area of Lagos.
The police also recovered some items such as guns, charms, live ammunition, cutlasses and jack knife, which the suspects used to attack victims as was disclosed by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Imohimi Edgal, at the State Command, Lagos.
He said that the successes recorded were possible due to the working relationship between the police and members of the public who provided credible information.
The police boss said that the police will continue to work to ensure that criminals had now space to operate in the State while warning those who still had such intentions to change or leave the state because they will be arrested.
