IGU team line up before their recent match

Head coach of Iyaloja General United, {IGU} Mohammed Jamiu Aberejo has advised Samjason Football Club to forget three-point at home when both clash in rescheduled week nine in the ongoing Alimosho Football Coaches Council Football League.

The much-awaited match would hold on Friday evening at Egan Grammar School, Igando, Alimosho, Lagos.

Football observers have picked the match as a star match of the week in the Alimosho league as football fans, club owners, football organisers and other stakeholders are looking forward to the encounter which would shake the entire Alimosho and its environs.

Both teams have started their rivalry as far back as ten years ago but their meeting on Friday would give football fans to assess the current form of both teams in the league.

Aberejo in a chat with our correspondent boasted that they are coming to Samjason home not to seek for a draw but to beat them in the presence of their fans.

“We are fully ready for the match. This is the match I need to give all my best including my players. Samjason are a good side but they should forget three-point against us because we are coming to them like a wounded lion. It would be a sad day for me if my players fail to beat them in their home” he said.

Aberejo admitted that the match would generate tension in Alimosho considering the football pedigree of both side but charged his players to go for victory against their opponents. He said the tactical training being introduced to the players recently would be an added advantage to kill their opponents in the first half.

“I have studied Samjason pattern of play recently. I know their strengths and weaknesses but the game would be tactical on the field of play and I have given my boys some tactical training and I expect them to apply what they have learnt in training to kill the game if possible first half. I wish my boys good luck and i also want our fans to support and pray for us so as to achieve our target at the end of the day,” he said.

Meanwhile the league would be in week ten this week as ECAS welcome Kedge Sports on Wednesday at Junior Grammar School, Agboju. Kotech would be at away against NISSI on Thursday at Ejigbo sports center as Flying Wings host Bucknor same day at Igando football pitch.

Action resumes on Friday when Layenda and Newtown G clash at Ansar Udeen School, Ayobo, Lagos
