All Roads Lead To Amuwo Odofin As Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos Holds 4th General Assembly Under Transformational Leadership Of Oba Ojoto

The transformational leadership of the President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo Lagos State Chapter, Chief Leonard Okafor, popularly known as Oba Ojoto, is gaining massive momentum as the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization prepares for its 4th General Assembly meeting in Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State.

The highly anticipated assembly, which has become a symbol of unity, innovation and inclusive leadership under Oba Ojoto, will hold on Saturday, 26th September 2026, at the FHA Field, 23 Road, Festac Town, Lagos, by 12:00 PM.

The meeting will be jointly co-hosted by Amuwo Odofin LGA and Oriade LCDA, bringing together Ndigbo from across Lagos State for deliberations on the progress, welfare and future of the Igbo community in the Centre of Excellence.

Since assuming office as President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State, Chief Leo Okafor (Oba Ojoto) has redefined the organization with uncommon innovation, transparency and people-centered leadership. Under his watch, Ohaneze Ndigbo Lagos has witnessed a remarkable transformation – from strengthened grassroots structures across LGAs and LCDAs to improved welfare packages for members, prompt intervention in members’ challenges, and strategic engagement with government and stakeholders for the benefit of Ndigbo.

What sets Oba Ojoto apart is his innovative approach to leadership. He has introduced digital coordination platforms for seamless communication among members, revitalized LGA and LCDA chapters that were previously dormant, and ensured that welfare of members remains top priority. From supporting members in times of bereavement and celebration to facilitating business networking opportunities and empowerment programmes for youths and women, Oba Ojoto has made Ohaneze Ndigbo Lagos a true home for all Ndigbo.

Members have continued to applaud Oba Ojoto for restoring pride, dignity and relevance to Ohaneze Ndigbo Lagos, making it more responsive, more united and more impactful than ever before. His administration is noted for innovation in mobilization, digital coordination, youth and women inclusion, and a renewed commitment to Igwebuike – the philosophy that Igbo unity is strength.

Under Oba Ojoto, Ohaneze Ndigbo Lagos has also become a strong voice in bridging the gap between Ndigbo and the Lagos State Government, promoting peaceful coexistence, and protecting the interests of Ndigbo while fostering harmonious relationships with other ethnic groups in Lagos. The 4th General Assembly is expected to be a landmark gathering, with Chief Host, Chief Leo Okafor (Oba Ojoto), President, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State, leading deliberations on key issues affecting Ndigbo in Lagos, as well as unveiling new initiatives for members’ welfare and empowerment.
