Amb. Emeni Ibe Congratulates Prof. Ngozi Nma Odu On NMA Outstanding Healthcare Leadership Award

The President General of the Orashi National Congress, ONC, Ambassador Comrade Emeni Ibe, JP, AP, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Her Excellency Prof. Ngozi Nma Odu, DSSRS, on being honoured with the prestigious Outstanding Healthcare Leadership Award by the Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, Rivers State Branch.

 

The award was conferred on Prof. Odu during the NMA’s Dinner and Award Night held at The Pavilion Event Centre in Port Harcourt. The event followed the conclusion of the Association’s 66th Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference, 2026.

The gathering brought together distinguished medical professionals, healthcare stakeholders, and key government officials to celebrate excellence, service, and innovation in the health sector.

In his goodwill message, Amb. Ibe commended the NMA Rivers State Branch for its unwavering dedication to public health and for recognizing Prof. Odu’s contributions.

 

“I must highly commend the Rivers State Branch of NMA for the honour bestowed on our amiable mother and Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Her Excellency Prof. Ngozi Odu,” he said.

The ONC PG described the Deputy Governor as a leader of class and compassion.

 

“Prof. Odu has displayed class in the discharge of her official duties and beyond, with a heart of gold. We therefore, use this medium to celebrate and congratulate her as the distinguished mother of the Orashi National Congress,” Amb. Ibe stated.

The Orashi National Congress noted that the award is a reflection of Prof. Odu’s commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery, supporting medical professionals, and promoting policies that improve the well-being of Rivers people.

The Congress prayed for God’s continued wisdom, strength, and grace upon Her Excellency as she continues to serve the state.
