Nigeria’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the Republic of Austria and the International Organisations in Vienna, Dr. (Mrs.) Florence Ajimobi Monday formally presented the Copy of her Letters of Credence (Copie d’Usage) to the Chief of Protocol of the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs, Ambassador Maximilian Hennig.
The presentation of the Copie d’Usage marks an important diplomatic milestone ahead of the formal presentation of her Letters of Credence to Alexander Van der Bellen, President of the Republic of Austria.
Speaking after the ceremony, Ambassador Ajimobi expressed her sincere appreciation to the Government of the Republic of Austria for the warm welcome and gracious reception accorded to her upon her arrival in Vienna.
She conveyed her profound gratitude to Ambassador Hennig for the excellent arrangements made to facilitate the presentation of the Copie d’Usage, noting that the professionalism, efficiency and courtesy extended to her and her delegation were deeply appreciated.
The Ambassador also conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the Government and people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Government and people of Austria, while reaffirming Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening the longstanding cordial relations between the two countries.
She pledged to work towards deepening cooperation in trade, investment, education, culture, multilateral diplomacy and other areas of mutual interest.
Ambassador Ajimobi further stated that she looks forward with great anticipation to the honour of presenting her Letters of Credence to President Alexander Van der Bellen and expressed her confidence in continued close cooperation with the Austrian authorities throughout her tenure as Nigeria’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative.
