The President General of respected Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress, ONC, Amb. Emeni Ibe (JP AP), has commended Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited (PINL) for its continuous engagement with stakeholders through its monthly strategic meetings.
Amb. Ibe gave the commendation today during the final stakeholders’ engagement meeting for the year, describing the initiative as a vital tool in strengthening collaboration between government, host communities, and security partners in the protection of critical oil assets.
According to him, the consistent engagement has significantly contributed to discouraging sabotage and vandalism of pipeline infrastructure. He noted that the involvement of indigenous people in pipeline surveillance, scholarship schemes, and other empowerment programmes shows a renewed commitment to ensuring peaceful and productive operations in oil-bearing communities.
“The stakeholders are doing a lot to discourage sabotage of pipeline infrastructure. This shows the seriousness of the government and private partners in carrying host communities along. I must give credit to PINL and our traditional rulers who continue to put in great effort. I believe PINL should sustain and even increase these engagements as we approach 2026,” Amb. Ibe stated.
During the meeting, PINL announced a record-breaking increase in daily oil production—a development described as a major milestone in the company’s operational history and a clear indication of improved pipeline protection and community cooperation.
The ONC President General reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to partnering with PINL and other relevant bodies to promote peace, security, and development across the Orashi region and Rivers State at large.
