Ambode, Alex Duduyemi, Others Join Abiola Salami To Inspire Women

 

In a bid to continually inspire and develop competence among women and youths, Abiola Salami, founder at iamaCHAMP Group, a total capacity development firm, on Sunday 26 February, unveiled the Xceptional Woman Pack, a multimedia inspirational tool kit for women amidst pomp and pageantry at the newly opened ChampCity facility located in the upscale Dolphin Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos.

“ChampCity is envisioned to be the world’s destination for inspiration, inspirational content & inspirational experiences. Our goal is to reach 1 Billion Champions by 2026 and upgrading ChampCity is a vital step towards attaining this goal. Our 2017 milestone is to multiply our reach by engaging 10 Million Champions in 2017 above the 2.3 million across 30 countries we reached in 2016,” said Salami.

“In order to achieve the 2017 milestone of 10,000,000 Champions, we are raising N150 million from everyone who can support our vision which will be applied to making CHAMP City fit to develop the volume of engaging, inspirational content we need and further delivering the content to the 10 Million Champions. As we unveil the Xceptional Woman Pack today, the voluntary donations we receive will be applied to this project.” he added.

Salami further noted that, “ChampCity started in a non-ventilated one room apartment. That was where the books – ‘Get MAD, Who Says It’s A Man’s World’ and Daily Inspiration for Xceptional Women were written. That was where the revolutionary audio program – ‘Woman, Get Out Of Your Way’ was created. That was where we designed and implemented four editions of the impactful GAME Conference. That was where The American Government discovered me and sent me on a global leadership program; that was where we created and implemented the Xceptional Women Network and all her programs. I am not saying this to impress you, I am just saying this to impress upon you that we have an unrelenting commitment to serving champions across the globe.”

The high profile event, anchored by seasoned broadcaster, Onimisi ‘OJ’ Adaba, had in attendance captains of industries, corporate power houses and top public officials. They included Mrs. Mosun Belo-Olusoga, Chairperson Access Bank Plc; Mrs Bolanle Ambode, wife of Lagos State Governor; Chief Alex Duduyemi, the Aro of Ife; Mr. Innocent Ike, Executive Director, Skye Bank Plc; Mrs. Funmi Ajose-Adeogun; Japhet Omojuwa, social commentator and social media expert; Chineze Amanfo, Public Relations expert among others.

They all came to witness the first of its kind ChampCity facility being opened to the public for the first time.

The upgraded ChampCity includes a 35-Seater Training Facility for hosting training programs for the workforce of organizations, women and youth; a 10-Seater Virtual Office for young entreprenuers and SMEs who cannot afford the huge cost of renting an office and an audio-visual production studio and a VIP coaching suite for top executives.

Speaking on the reason why he seems to have a bias for women, Abiola Salami remarked that he is personally inspired by women who exude competence, credibility and compassion and has chosen to use his platform to inspire and increase capacity not just among African women but across the globe.

Mrs Bolanle Ambode, who was represented by Mrs. Jumoke Bank-Olemoh, charged women and youths to develop their innate capacity as we all have what it takes to become xceptional.

“I am impressed with what Abiola and his team are doing and will encourage every young person to take advantage of these opportunities to grow your skills in order to become unstoppable,” Mrs Ambode said.

For five years, Abiola through iamaCHAMP Group has continued to use various media channels including digital and live events to inspire and impart knowledge among the Workforce, Youth and Women. Guests at the event penned their signature in affirmation and commitment to The 1 Billion Goal.
