An Open Letter: Unmasking the Hidden Agenda Against Naira Marley

Dear Concerned Citizens,

I write this letter with a heavy heart, driven by the undeniable truth that there appears to be a relentless agenda against the talented yet controversial artist, Naira Marley. It’s a matter that demands our attention and scrutiny.

When the police conclusively refuted the rumors linking Naira Marley to the tragic demise of Mohbad, it was disheartening to witness the discontent that ensued. Why, we must ask, do some persistently yearn for Naira Marley’s guilt, even in the absence of concrete evidence?

Not a shred of evidence supports the notion that Naira Marley bullied Mohbad. Yes, conflicts arise in all relationships, whether they be between siblings, parents, co-workers, or friends. That’s the essence of human interaction. However, since that incident, there has been no documented instance or contact between Naira Marley or any Marlian Music member harassing or bullying Mohbad. Mohbad is an adult, and it defies reason to hold Naira Marley accountable for his choices.

Now, as we move beyond the false accusation of Naira Marley’s involvement in Mohbad’s death, a faction known as ‘Naira Marley Must Go Down’ (#NMMGD), led by two actresses, a relentless blogger, and a producer who failed to make it as a musician, has concocted a fresh narrative. Their agenda is crystal clear: to bring Naira Marley to his knees, regardless of the cost.

We all yearn for justice for Mohbad. The police provided a comprehensive account of the events leading to his tragic passing, yet the #NMMGD faction remains unsatisfied. They thirst for retribution, with Naira Marley’s blood as their ultimate target.

Let us entertain, for a moment, the notion that Naira Marley indeed had disagreements with Mohbad (never amounting to bullying). Should his punishment be the ultimate penalty, death by hanging? Where were those advocating for justice in the crucial 48 hours preceding Mohbad’s passing? Why must Naira be subjected to perpetual punishment for a falling-out with Mohbad, while his pursuit of a peaceful career is disrupted?

This piece isn’t a plea for Naira Marley; it’s a plea for fairness and justice. We must confront the glaring question: Why does it seem that there is a relentless agenda against Naira Marley? Why do some insist on bringing him down at any cost?
