Anambra 2021: There’s No Rumbling In Anambra APGA

The major aspiration of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA in Anambra State is to win the forthcoming governorship election by all legal means. Our aspirants are disciplined and none can do anything contrary to the position of the party. As far as I do know, there is no Edozie Njoku faction in Anambra State. We have only one APGA. If anyone parades himself as the Chairman, apart from Chief Norbert Obi, that was popularly and legitimately chosen by all members, such a person is deaf and blind. We have duly elected officers and those that were elected as our Executives are by popular choice, and certified by INEC. So the basis for factionalisation does not exist in Anambra APGA. The legitimate National Chairman of our great party is Ozonkpu Victor Ike Oye. Anybody who wishes to do business with Edozie Njoku and co- travellers in Anambra is on a picnic.

It was learnt that some opposition elements wanted to take advantage of the rumoured rumbling in the Anambra APGA and complaints by aspirants over the insinuation that the party leadership had anointed the former Central Bank Governor, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo, as the party’s candidate.

But, the State Chairman of the APGA, Sir Nobert Obi, had on several occasions assured all aspirants that the party would conduct a free and fair primary to choose a candidate that is capable of winning the important election.

Apparently, there were mixed feelings, palpable tension and annoyance over the rumour that the party’s leadership had anointed a person for the ticket of the APGA; all that was a hoax. All committed members, the entire rank and file of our great party should work round the clock towards achieving a free, fair, and transparent primary election.
Anambra State belongs to all citizens of the state and the APGA belongs to all members, but the situation whereby a troublesome group of people wants to destroy the party must not be allowed. We must summon the courage to take our destiny in our own hands and anybody that failed to take his own destiny in his own hands would be oppressed by his mate. We must not allow ourselves to be manipulated by the agents of the opposition; do not lose focus on APGA’s time tested winning formula.
Ekenem!
