The National Convener of the famed Soludo Ambassadors, Hon. Ossy Onuko, has stated that the the Governor of Anambra state, Professor Chukwuma Soludo. CFR, will win Nnewi convincingly come 2025 albeit the area being the acclaimed political base of Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah.
Onuko made the statement in Awka while reacting to some social media posts by the senators aides taunting the Governor for suspending Igwe Neni, Igwe Damian Ezeani who flouted the Anambra Traditional Ruler’s laws and conferred a phantom chieftaincy title on Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah.
The Soludo Ambassadors Convener who is also the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA) pointed out that the indicators for Governor Soludo’s victory come 2025 are clear for every fair and right thinking person in Anambra state.
Said he, ” The indicators are there for every fair and right thinking person making these analysis. Soludo will win even in Nnewi where Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah claims to have his strong hold. Ifeanyi Ubah has the right to test his popularity. But Ndi Anambra have settled for Soludo to continue beyond 2025.”
” You know that Governor Soludo has not declared his intention to run come 2025 but I’m aware that well meaning Ndi Anambra are pressuring him to run because we believe it’s in the best interest of the state and so as to consolidate on the gains he has made so far and complete the good works he has laid it’s foundation. We are doing so because we have the interest of the people at heart.”
Continuing, Mr Onuko highlighted that the Governor has laid the foundation that will catalyse the needed infrastructure.
” However you look at it, there’s no vacancy in Agu Awka come 2025. Soludo will complete the statutory second term of eight years. Ndi Anambra are ready to re-elect him come 2025.  He has done marvelously and excellently well in all his administration’s five pillars. Is it in the area of Security, law and order, governance, infrastructure and others? In less than 2 years, the Governor is doing over 400 km of roads across Anambra. The indicators are there. It’s clear for everyone to see.”
He however advised those trying to test their popularity like Ifeanyi Ubah to thread with caution.
” We urge him not to heat up the polity unnecessarily. We can’t allow anybody to distract the Governor. He will win Nnewi 100%, there’s no two ways about that”, Onuko said.
