There was wild jubilation as the Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife, PhD, secured the ticket to contest a return to the Red Chambers of the National Assembly at the primary election for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra Central Senatorial District.
Ekwunife, who stood for the election unopposed, was declared winner by the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Hon Mike Umor, after voting and counting of results.
The election was conducted at Finotel Hotels, Awka and had in attendance the elected Ward adhoc delegates from the 109 wards in Anambra Central Senatorial District, who participated in the election.
