Anambra Independent Media Group Set For World Press Briefing On Wednesday

The Anambra Independent Media Support Organization will be holding a World Press briefing this Wednesday, 17th March, 2021, at 3pm.

It is in support of the renewed call to curb Fake News, Character Assassination, Disinformation, and Cyber Bullying in view of the forthcoming Governorship election in the state.

The event, with the theme: “The Role of Social Media in Anambra Governorship Election 2021”, is expected to hold at Cosmila Hotel, Okpuno, Awka, Anambra State.

Making the disclosure, the Convener, Dr. Harris Chuma-Odili, FCMsp, President, Association of Digital Media Core Advocates, ADMCA, said, “Lately, the role of “fake news,” misinformation, and propaganda in spreading inaccurate information online has come to prominence ahead of 2021 Governorship election. Let’s join hands together to address the ugly development, before it is too late”.
