The Government of Anambra State has been ranked high, scoring 100 out of 100 maximum score in the July 2026 sub-national ranking by Open Government. Anambra State came tops on the list of 28 Nigerian states enlisted on the Open Government platform since Nigeria joined the group in 2016. So far, 28 states out of 36 states have joined the Open Government Partnership Nigeria to domesticate national commitments to transparency and anti-corruption, and foster multi-level partnerships between the government and civil societies.

Anambra’s ranking as a “healthy” state in the ranking, with a total score of 100, was only matched by two other Nigerian States out of 28 states signed on to Open Government in Nigeria. This is to say that Anambra met its commitment to transparency, multi-stakeholder engagement, state action plan, political commitment, active online platforms, and functional secretariat, among others. Thereby reflecting Governor Soludo’s firm dedication to driving governance in Anambra through a transparent process where every kobo of Anambra State is utilized for public good. The ranking further spotlights Governor Soludo’s dutiful commitment to the four pillars driving the Government of Anambra State under his watch.

Anambra’s performance is indicative of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s delivery on his administration’s plan anchored on economic transformation, governance, rule of law and value, social agenda and finally, the environment. The ranking highlights Anambra as a state that is dedicated to achieving its action plans through deliberate and intentional leadership.
