A 43-year-old woman, Mrs. Bisola Awodele, has vented her anger on her husband, Peter Philip, by pouring a pot of hot water on him over drunkenness and he was seriously injured in Ogun State.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the mother of five has been arrested by operatives from the Ogun Police Command for allegedly pouring hot water on her husband.

Mrs. Awodele was arrested after her injured husband, Peter Phillips, went to Sango Ota Police Area Command to report the attack on him by his wife.Philips had told Police officers that his wife picked a pot of hot water and poured it on his body after accusing him always getting drunk.Consequently, Mrs Awodele was arrested and detained at the Command for interrogation over the act.

She told the Police that her husband was fond of always coming home very drunk and caused her serious embarrassment in the neighborhood. She also accused him of not contributing to her welfare and upkeep of the children.

Awodele stated further that on that fateful day, the husband came home drunk as usual.
She said while she was complaining about the husband’s act of drunkenness, he started insulting her and her parents. She said this infuriated her and the consequence of her anger was the hot water she poured on her husband’s body.

Police preliminary investigation also revealed that the suspect gave birth to a baby about eight months ago but killed and secretly buried the baby out of frustration.
The Police investigating team has since followed her to the secret grave, where the remains were exhumed.

The husband has been taken to General Hospital, Ota, where he is presently recuperating.

The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Edward Awolowo Ajogun, has ordered further investigation of the case and the woman may likely be charged for murder and serious assault if the Police finds her culpable over the allegations.
