My great friend and one of the Imo’s finest in the New Media Industry has received longer quills from afar. He was inducted as a Fellow of Institute of Professional Managers and Administrators of Nigeria. Who else among those brandishing their jotters and recorders hold such honour?
MacDonald Obinna Njoku is a brand whose time has come. He stormed the conventional journalism with style and within a decade did push a touch of class down the spines of many. He has made enviable contacts and his reach is astounding. With each passing day comes new deals, mouth watering contracts streaming into his armpit. But the Abba born media guru doesn’t spend all his deserved cash on Heineken beer at his preferred corners at Protea Hotel Owerri, where he recoils after each successful outing.
Rather He spends greater quantity of the bucks from his vault on self development: nourishment of his soul and encapsulation of his smooth body with the finest fabrics. He cares for his fans, friends and mentees too. Often we see him throw out some coins to those whose stories touch his lines. The Handsomely made publisher of Fourth Estate Reporters represents the new face of journalism and report writing. It is difficult to match him. It is also difficult to emulate him. He deploys all his arsenals to his projects and ensures he develops his material bases in the same way he sharpens his skills. He runs while many of us struggle to crawl.
MacDonald is known far and wide. He works like a demon, burning the midnight oil and relentlessly pursuing his dream and targeting bigger assignments. At the moment, jobs come knocking on his doors and like a five star actor, he makes choices from available options. The streaming of tasks comes in quick succession and the new Media guru hops round the globe executing jobs and handling classified briefs. He makes Imo proud.
I salute the eclectic and highly gifted professional and a leading name in PR and New Media in Imo State. I join his numerous fans to appreciate him and hope that this great honour would spur him to greater heights
