ANSEC Awards Contract For Renovation Of Civil Service Commission Building & Flood Control Along The Dilapidated Umueze-Anam Federal Roads

After due consideration of the memo presented by Mr. Paulinus Onyeka, Anambra State Commissioner for Housing, the 19th Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC), has approved the award of a contract for the renovation of the Civil Service Commission Building.

 

The renovation will be completed in three (3) months from the date of mobilization by BID Engineering Ltd at the cost of Ninty-Two Million, Three Hundred and Twenty-Seven Thousand, Two Hundred and Thirty-five Naira (N92, 327, 235. 00).

According to the Honorable Commissioner for Information, Sir Paul Nwosu, the construction of culverts to control flooding and palliative works to ensure pleasurable movement of people, and farmers along the Umueze Anam – Umudora – Oromaetiti – Umueze – Nzam Road, which is a Federal Road in Anambra West Local Government and other adjoining roads that have remained impassable for many years, especially during the rainy season was awarded. The contract went to Guxon Construction Company NIG. Ltd at the cost of Three Hundred and Twenty-Four Million, Four Hundred and Ninty-Six Thousand, Two Hundred and Seventy-Five Naira (N324, 496, 275. 00) and will be completed in eight (8) weeks from the date of mobilization to the site.

 

B and O Ltd won the contract for the construction of perimeter fencing measuring 1,471 m; stormwater drainage culverts and chain-like fences of the additional land at Agulu Lake, Agulu, Anaocha Local Government – at the cost of Three Hundred and Sixty Million, Two Hundred and Ninty-Eight Thousand, Nine Hundred and Two Naira, Twenty-One Kobo (N360, 298, 920. 21) . The job will be completed in four (4) months.

In a bid to ensure a decent accommodation for the army personnel stationed at Nawfija in Orumba local government area, ANSEC approved the contract for the reconstruction and furnishing of the Forward Operating Base of the Nigerian Army there. This will cost One Hundred and Forty-Five Million, Five Hundred and Ninty-One Thousand, Six Hundred and Ninty Thousand, and Five Kobo (N145, 591, 690. 05) and the job will be done by Stansol Synergy Ltd and will be completed in 8 weeks.
