APC Chieftain, Layeni-Dawodu, Rallies Support for Tinubu, Hamzat

 

A chieftain of the All-Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Adeola Kotey Layeni-Dawodu, has said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu deserves a second term, having performed creditably well between 2023, when he emerged as President, and 2026.

Speaking at a colloquium with the theme “Renewed Hope, Real Progress,” Mr. Layeni-Dawodu, who is the convener of the event, explained that the President has achieved a lot across Education, Health, Interior, Aviation and other sectors of the economy.

“The Renewed Hope Agenda will surely offer more to Nigerians in the coming years, and we should all get our voters’ cards ready for the second term of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 to ensure the continuation of these achievements,” he said.

He also called for massive support for the APC governorship candidate in Lagos, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, as well as for all APC candidates across the country.

The event, which featured speakers from different sectors of the economy, focused on key areas and how the Renewed Hope Agenda has positively impacted them, including Works, Agriculture, Petroleum, Federal Capital Territory and Education.

Speakers at the event collectively commended the President Tinubu for restoring hope and working assiduously towards the betterment of the country.

One of the speakers, Dr. Kunle Elegbede from the University of Lagos, recounted the impact of the NELFUND loan on Nigerian students.

“President Tinubu’s administration has, in over three years, moved education from crisis management to strategic reform,” he said.

Also speaking, Mrs. Belinda Ujunwa Ezofor, a Nigerian lawyer and public advocate, stated that, “In three years, the Tinubu administration has repositioned Nigeria’s petroleum sector through PIA implementation, executive orders, tax incentives and gas infrastructure. She added that Nigeria has recovered production, attracted over $8 billion in Final Investment Decisions (FIDs), cut fuel imports and become Africa’s top energy investment destination.

She therefore called on Nigerians to re-elect President Tinubu in 2027.

Equally the Special Adviser to Governor Sanwo-Olu on Parastatal Monitoring and former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ibrahim Obanikoro, stated that the Renewed Hope Agenda has touched lives extensively across the country. He cited several examples, including how the Tinubu administration has transformed the Ministry of Interior from bureaucracy to digital-first service delivery.

“Through BATTIC, e-gates, smart borders, correctional reforms and massive welfare upgrades, the ministry is now delivering faster services, safer communities and better welfare for personnel,” Obanikoro explained.
