As the clock ticks to the moment the country has been waiting for when the ruling party, All Progressive Congress (APC) will choose its presidential candidate for next year’s general elections, delegates have been called upon to vote right and elect the frontline presidential hopeful, the Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Adoza Bello as the party flag bearer.

This was the submission of the Special Adviser on Women’s Affairs to the Governor of Kogi State, Hon. Asmau Gogo Kabir, who described Governor Bello as the most youngest among the aspirants contesting for the sole ticket in Tuesday’s primary in Abuja.

Hon. Kabir was emphatical about Bello’s qualities which stand him worthy of succeeding President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to Hon. Kabir, the delegates should not vote with sentiment as Nigeria needs a vibrant, young, proactive and accommodating  leader now.

While directing her clarion call to the women delegates, Hon. Kabir said that the world knows how Governor Bello has placed a high premium on the issues of women in his administration in Kogi State.

“I can assure you that His Excellency Governor Yahaya Bello will place women in key positions and they will be part of decision making when it come to  issues  that  concerns women and children.

“He has been doing this in Kogi State and he is ready to extend it to the national level if we women can give him our votes. He has done greatly for the women.

“This is a Governor who has the highest record of women and youth involvement in governance. This will be a plus for him to achieve resounding victory at the general elections.

“Please the decision of our future and that of our children are In our hand. I charge all the  female delegates that they should think twice beyond ballot box, as whatever happens at Eagle Square on Tuesday will affect 120 millions Nigerians and our children’s children.

“I want to thank you all as I count on your votes for my boss, H.E. Yahaya Bello, who is contesting in the primary,” said Hon. Kabir said.

Speaking further on what she believes in Yahaya Bello, Hon. Kabir said the Governor has what it takes to address the  rising spate of insecurity in the country, adding that Governor Bello has the indisputable traits such as personal capacity, agility and proven track records to tackle the Nigeria’s problem.
