In a remarkable celebration of women’s advocacy held in Sokoto, the Women’s Voice and Action (WOVA) initiative has awarded the APC National Women Leader, Dr. Mrs. Mary Alile, with an Award of Excellence.

This accolade comes as a recognition of her unwavering dedication to promoting the cause of women across Nigeria.

The award ceremony took place during the launch of the Project 774-Explode in Sokoto State, which is a significant initiative spearheaded by Dr. Alile herself.

The project aims to empower women across Nigeria’s 774 Local Government areas, promoting their rights and providing opportunities for growth and development.

Dr. Alile’s commitment to advancing women’s rights and her proactive approach to addressing issues affecting women and the girl child were prominently highlighted during the event. Her contributions to WOVA did not end with receiving the award. She further demonstrated her support by donating 500,000 Naira to the group. This generous contribution aims to bolster WOVA’s efforts in advocating for women and girls, ensuring they continue their crucial work in empowering and uplifting females across the nation.

The event also featured stirring speeches from various notable figures in the women’s rights movement, underscoring the importance of solidarity and continued advocacy for gender equality. This award and the accompanying donation signify not just recognition of past efforts but also a call to action for ongoing and future initiatives.

Dr. Alile, in her acceptance speech, emphasized the importance of collective effort in championing women’s rights. She stated, “This award is not just for me but for every woman who has tirelessly worked for the betterment of our society. We must continue to stand together, support each other, and push for a world where every woman and girl can thrive.”

As WOVA continues its mission, Dr. Alile’s leadership and generosity serve as a beacon of hope and a reminder of the power of dedicated advocacy in creating a more equitable society. The launch of Project 774-Explode in Sokoto marks a significant milestone in this ongoing journey towards gender equality and empowerment.
