The Chairman of Senate Committee on Finance, Senator Solomon Adeola (YAYI), has congratulated the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on his landslide victory at just concluded APC primary for him to run for a second term in 2023.
Prince Abiodun overwhelming and convincingly defeated 5 other governorship aspirants in a delegate primary held at MKO Abiola Stadium at the state capital, Abeokuta.
Senator Adeola, a Senatorial aspirant in Ogun West Senatorial District, who was present all through the peacefully conducted primary stated that the victory is a reflection of the acceptability of the Governor’s programmes and policy of inclusion adding that against all odds and internal opposition from some quarters, the Governor has discharged his duties creditably to merit a second term in office.
“I have no doubt that our party members will support the aspiration of the Governor for a second term based on his visible achievements in the last three years including completion of many uncompleted projects of the past administration. I am sure he will also coast to victory in the general election next year based on these accomplishments” he stated.
Senator Adeola commended the party for the peaceful organisation and conduct of the governorship primary in Ogun state adding that it is his hope that all other primaries for different offices will also be successfully conducted.
