CHIMEREZE JUVENTUS CHUKWUNWEIKE OKOLI

I have dedicated a deep look into Nigeria politics and that of my state, Anambra, in particular. My study dwells more on those who have been presenting themselves as political leaders with the drive to govern Anambra, their political party affiliations notwithstanding.

I have read through worries, fears, complaints and comparisons which Ndi Anambra and their friends have continued to present for or against these political lords. Evidently, of all the persons vying for the number one political office in Anambra State against the November 6, 2021 gubernatorial poll, one person has been very conspicuous as he stands shoulder higher than the rest.

He is Professor Chukwuma C. Soludo! The reasons are not farfetched. In this post Covid-19 era with the attendant drastic fall in fiscal allocations from Abuja as a result of  fall in oil price, Anambra deserves someone with prime global contacts to attract development financing and projects that the state will leverage on in wading through the daunting challenges that nations and states will surely contend with, post-Covid.

It therefore behooves the people’s delegates in tomorrow’s APGA primary election to ensure they vote for Prof Chukwuma C. Soludo. This will enable him to bring to bear the wisdom and ideas for which he is acclaimed globally in the development of his home state.

For sure, this pandemic era is not the time to start trial and error with inexperienced or poorly exposed fellows. This is the time to elect a candidate who knows what he wants to achieve and knows how best to achieve the expected. It is the time of bringing an administrator and sound mind whose crucial calculations will deliver the much expected goals. It is the time to “follow who know road”!

Soludo’s giant strides as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) whose tenure witnessed the highest growth rate of the nation’s economy in over 40 years readily stand him out exceptionally brilliant and pragmatic. Little wonder he was globally celebrated as the best governor of the Central Bank among nations while he served in CBN. He is equally recognized and celebrated as being in the membership of the hundred most influential Africans. No other Anambra gubernatorial hopeful for 2022 has this type of giant leadership credential.

APGA Delegates should as a matter of honesty and fairness to our party give us this erudite professor of Economics, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo, so that in continuing with the landmarks of APGA’s 16 years of sound governance in the state, he will again perform the feat he attained at the CBN that not only changed our banking sector, but transformed the entire Nigerian economy. Let us give Soludo the opportunity to serve us and to work for Anambra. APGA delegates have no option other than to ‘follow who know road’!

Unarguably, Soludo is the best gift our APGA delegates can give Ndi-Anambra tomorrow. I say this with every assurance!

I see an Anambra that blossoms under Soludo’s continuity of Obiano’s good works.

Bravo to Anambra State as APGA is poised to present Professor Chukwuma Soludo to lead the state beyond Akpokue’s plausible developmental strides!
