The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, has been conferred with the prestigious Chieftaincy title of Ifesimba na Umuomaku by HRM, Igwe Obikaenyi Livinus O Ezenwa, the Igwe Nkataukwu Ohazurume of Umuomaku Ancient Kingdom, Onunaekwuruoha II.
This conferment took place in a grand ceremony, signifying the high regard and honour in which Barr. Ezeokenwa is held within Umuomaku Ancient Kingdom.
Igwe Ezenwa described Barr. Ezeokenwa as an enigma whose leadership is transformative and visionary, uplifting the community and bringing about positive change.
This honour is a testament to Barr. Ezeokenwa’s esteemed position within the community and his ongoing support and contribution to its well-being. The conferment of the Chieftaincy title of Ifesimba na Umuomaku is a reflection of the deep respect and recognition of Barr. Ezeokenwa’s dedication and service to Umuomaku Ancient Kingdom and beyond.
Barr. Ezeokenwa accompanied by his amiable wife, Mrs Amara Ezeokenwa and members of his entourage, expressed his gratitude to the Umuomaku Traditional Council for the recognition and pledged to continue his efforts towards the progress and development of Umuomaku Ancient Kingdom and the wider community.
The conferment ceremony was marked by a vibrant showcase of the community’s rich cultural heritage, featuring traditional dances, music, and displays of local arts and crafts. Additionally, there were heartfelt speeches acknowledging Barr. Ezeokenwa’s exceptional contributions to the society and commitment to the betterment of the Umuomaku Ancient Kingdom.
