Nigeria’s foremost talent hunt competition for indigenous music, Ariya Repete, returns with yet another edition.

Announced on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, this year’s edition is tagged Ariya Repete – Omoluabi Special.

Initially conceptualized as a platform for budding Fuji artists, called Fuji to Bam, the showpiece quickly evolved to a spectacle for more indigenous genres, including Juju music and Yoruba Hip-pop and was on TV last year as a reality talent show.

Ariya Repete – Omoluabi Special, the eighth edition of the music competition, will celebrate amazing indigenous talents from southwestern Nigeria.

Interested participants are to enter for auditions by recording and posting a short video of themselves singing with the hashtag, #AriyaRepete2020.

From the stable of Goldberg Lager, Ariya Repete is a music platform that has rewarded and empowered multiple participants.

Previous editions have featured performances by A-list Yoruba music acts such as King Sunny Ade, K1 D Ultimate, Sir Shina Peters, Alhaji Alabi Pasuma, Olamide.

This year’s edition will engage Nigerian A-list stars and Goldberg ambassadors, Olamide and Odunlade Adekola.

Some of the most respected acts in the music industry will judge the contestants.

In addition, this year the fans have the opportunity to join in the elimination of contestants every week.

This year, a total cash prize of N3million is up for grabs!

Ariya Repete  TV broadcast will commence from November 22, 2020, with exciting episodes to be aired every Sunday at 8 pm on Soundcity TV and ONTV.

Speaking on the new edition, the Portfolio Manager, Mainstream Brands, Omotunde Adenusi said, ‘’Ariya Repete is a very special platform that allows us to showcase and celebrate the very best talents in Nigeria. Over the years, we have been able to delight our consumers with this initiative as well as provide some unforgettable memories for a lot of winners and viewers of past editions. We hope to make this edition filled with even more enjoyment’’.

Goldberg has become a brand that celebrates and associates with not just the cultural beliefs of the people but has evolved to a brand that believes in keeping values and traditions alive and fresh as a way to shape the future.

The Yoruba music scene has evolved and the younger inclined Yoruba hip-hop is one of the fastest growing music genres in Nigeria hence the need for the genre to be promoted by Ariya Repete.

Ariya Repete is proudly brought to you by Goldberg Lager, Nigeria’s leading mainstream lager brand renowned for initiatives that highlight the beauty of tradition and culture.

With a wide array of exciting activities that brilliantly connects with its ever-loyal audience, Goldberg continues to remain one of the most authentic brands in the Nigerian beer market.
