The women of Jerusalem sang a song that they never knew shall change the socio-economic and political fortune of then Israel.
After the killing of Goliath, as the soldiers of Israel were returning home, the women of Jerusalem sang that Saul killed thousands, but David killed tens of thousands.
The lyrics of the song angered Saul, who resolved to kill David at all cost and by all means.
The rest, particularly the fall of Saul, is common knowledge among Bible scholars.
Bayelsa State was characterized by violence. Bayelsans were stereotyped and profiled. They described Bayelsans as violent, lazy, and unproductive people.
The state was also categorized among the least developed states in Nigeria.
As a matter of fact, Bayelsa State was always used, for example, of failed and grossly underdeveloped states in Nigeria.
Senator Douye Diri was programmed to fail from the beginning, but Almighty God proved otherwise.
Besides meeting an empty treasury with heavy debt burden, the Corona virus Covid-19 that led to global shutdown struck. Just after that, the 2022 big flood that is adjudged as the highest in the past six decades followed.
In the midst of the above, Gov. Douye Diri, who is sent by Almighty God to redeem, reform, transform, and reposition Bayelsa State on the path of peace, unity, growth, and development, have remained calm, focused and resolute.
His positive disposition helped him to surmount all the plagues.
Today, Bayelsa State is among the least indebted states in the country. This is a fact that can be verified at the Debt Management Office (DMO) in Nigeria.
Before now, there was the retrogressive song about DIFFICULT TERRAIN. But Gov. Douye Diri has been able to eliminate the deceptive excuses behind their poor performances.
Before the eyes of all Bayelsans, the same Gov. Douye Diri, who was programmed to fail, has constructed several roads and bridges across the supposed difficult terrain.
At the inception of the ASSURED Prosperity Administration, seventy-five percent of Bayelsa State were riverine, meaning the above areas could only be accessed through rivers either by speed boats or local boats.
But within a space of 6 years, Gov. Douye Diri has successfully turned the situation around. Today, seventy-five percent of Bayelsa State is accessed by good roads that he constructed.
Overtime Bayelsa State, which was once described as a violent place, is now the Safest State in the country.
Most people in Brass, Angiama-Oporoma-Otuan, Ekeremor-Agge, Igbedi and other areas never believed that road will get to their towns and villages in their lifetime. Yet, Gov. Douye Diri is not making noise or arrogating unnecessary powers to himself.
Over the years, Senator Douye Diri has DEMYSTIFIED the office of governor. He has bridged the wide gap that existed between the leader and the led.
At all times, he makes the hoi polloi (masses) to feel very important. He makes Bayelsans to always realize that fact that he is only a messenger and an employee of the people who employed him through their votes.
Gov. Diri does not discriminate or segregate. He does not give preferential treatments to any section of the state.
Sadly, some people are not happy with the level of peace, unity, growth, and development in the state.
But the earlier they realize they are on a failed mission, the better because Bayelsans who have seen light, Bayelsans who now know the importance of peace and unity are not ready to go back to Egypt.
