In what could be describe as her own little way to appreciate her mentor, Nigerian female football star, Asisat Oshoala has shown appreciation to Rev (Mother) Abimbola Esther Ajayi with gifts.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Oshoala, who plays for Spanish side, FC Barcelona Femení in the Primera División presented a big frame with a picture of the General Overseer of Love of Christ Church in Clapham, London boldly inscripted on the frame.
Oshoala also presented a national team jersey bearing ‘Oshoala’ to Olawunmi Ajayi, a daughter to Rev (Mother) Esther Ajayi
Although Oshoala was not physically present during the presentation of the gifts because she was on a national duty against Tunisia in the qualifying match for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics played at the Agege stadium, her representatives delivered her message to the clergywoman.
Oshoala, a former African women footballer award winner presented the jersey gift to Olawunmi who celebrated her birthday on 17 August, 2019 and she was so grateful to Rev (Mother) Esther Ajayi, a devoted woman of God, for her moral and financial support over the years.
Rev (Mother) Esther Ajayi has been a pillar of support to the Super Falcons star striker especially in all activities of her Asisat Oshoala Foundation which including the Ramadan feeding for one month this year, the Asisat Oshoala Football4girls Clinic, the BacktoSchool project, Asisat Oshoala Parasoccer tourney and Asisat Oshoala’s hospital visit to care for the needy. All the programmes were Lagos based.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Rev (Mother) Esther Ajayi appreciated the action of Oshoala and promised to always support women football in Nigeria and Africa.
