Chairman Governing Board of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) Rt. Hon. Asita Honourable has expressed sadness over the death of Honourable Justice (Chief) Tayo Kilegbu Osu who passed, on 27 January, 2021, aged 86.
The former member of the House of Representatives in a statement, Friday, noted that Justice Chief T.K. Osu was a brilliant and eminent jurist who fearlessly and forthrightly dispensed justice from 1989 when he was appointed Honourable Justice of the Rivers State High Court until his retirement in 2007.
He said: “It saddens me to learn of the passing of an accomplished and trailblazing legal luminary, the very first judge from Engenni Kingdom.
“A humble man among all classes of people and father to many, Justice T.K. Osu, the Ofia-elavie 1 of Engenni kingdom took into mentorship many lawyers, most of whom are now very successful both in the legal profession and in politics.”
The 2015 Deputy Governorship Candidate of APC in Rivers State and Political Leader of Orashi Region recalls that the deceased served Rivers State and the country creditably as chairman and member of many boards and panels of enquiry among others.
Asita prayed God Almighty to grant the soul of the departed eternal rest and give divine comfort to all whom he left behind.
