The first batch of rice farmers from Cross River State currently participating at an Israeli led training in Abuja, have commended the Executive Governor, Prof Ben Ayade, for making them digital farmers.
The excited rice farmers, expressed appreciation to the digital Governor for giving them this opportunity, which according to them has opened new vistas to their farming knowledge and methods.
In the words of one of farmers, Ugbai Fidelis, “through this training Governor Ayade has exposed us to digital and modern farming techniques, which will definitely have huge impact on our farming production in Cross River State”.
Governor Ayade’s Special Adviser on NGOs and Coordinator Rice Development Project, in his address to the participants, assured them that the recent commissioning of the state’s first microfinance bank was set up to support farmers and small businesses. He charged them to take advantage of the new methods they have learnt to improve their farming, enhance their livelihood.
