After excluding itself for major football competitions in Lagos for almost two years, Badagry United Football Club would be a team to watch when 2021/2022 Badagry Divisional Football League kicks off this month.
Badagry United which was formed two years ago started recruiting players and played friendly matches within and outside the state. Badagry United failed to played last year Lagos State Challenge Cup in order to have a solid team.
As the teams are preparing for Badagry League, Badagry United are one of the formidable teams that would give all the teams a run for their money when the league commences. Sporting Director of Badagry United Danladi Musa remains optimistic that his team are poised for the future challenges.
“We are coming to the Badagry League for the first time and we are formidable team. We have recruited good players and they are hungry for success, We had a good results in our friendly matches because we recruited young and vibrant players who are ready to deliver. We would not play only Badagry league but begin to feature in high profile and state football competitions henceforth,” he said.
Meanwhile the draws ceremony of Badagry league would hold tomorrow morning as more than 20 teams are expected to feature in the league.
Chairman of Badagry Divisional Football Association BDFA,Mobee Kayode said arrangement have been put in place to stage a colourful draw and urged the participating teams to abide by the rules and regulations.
