Bayelsa By-Election: Ambassador Igali Picks Nomination Form, Promises Improved Standard Of Living & Development

Astute administrator and one of the forefront leaders of the Niger Delta, a former Ambassador, a retired Federal Permanent Secretary; Amb. Dr. Godknows Boladei Igali, has picked his intent and nomination form for the forthcoming Senatorial Bye-Election slated to hold on the 31st October, 2020, in Bayelsa Central Senatorial District.  

Amb. Igali was accompanied by three great Bayelsans; Former Member, House of Representatives, Hon Chief Mike Epengule, Former Commissioner for Lands; Hon Chief Freedom Akene and the leading Niger Delta Activist; Comrade Weri Digifa.  And he was well received by the Acting National Publicity Secretary, Yekini Nabena, who is a proud son of Bayelsa State.

 While addressing the press, he said, “Today, a new race to better the lives of the people in Bayelsa Central Senatorial District has commenced. It is not just the fact that I have picked intent and nomination form, it is that the people of my Senatorial District believe in me and have all embraced my ambition to represent them in the Red Chambers”. “Their massive turnout is quite overwhelming. And this interprets their decisions to working for my success which in turn will yield the needed representation they have been yearning for.”

 “My profound gratitude goes to them, for their steadfast support and encouragement, and above all, their continued abiding love for the Ijaw Nation” Dr. Igali said.  Speaking on the acceptance by stalwarts, Amb. Igali said he was warmly received by the National Organiser of the All Progressive Party; Prof. Al-Mustapha Ussiji Medonaner, when he picked his form at the party’s National office, on Friday, 21 August, 2020, in Abuja.  He said, “I have very ample discussion on a wide range of issues. And I must be frank with you, they are all of good news for me and the people I seek to represent”. 

While speaking to the people, Igali admonished that as they forge ahead to victory, they should be orderly, peaceful, and continue to commit his mandate into God’s hands. He prayed God to bless and keep them in health and life, and thanked them for believing in his cause to achieving better standard of life and development for the people of his Senatorial District.
