The Bella Amor Global Aid Foundation (BAAF), in strategic partnership with the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), successfully concluded a major humanitarian outreach project in Kano State under “The Boy Child Life Matters Initiative / Mo’Feed Project,” held from the 14th to 17th of May, 2026.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the impactful intervention, which focused on vulnerable Almajiri children across five Tsangaya schools in Kano, was designed to address pressing welfare needs while restoring dignity, hope, and care to underserved children within the society.
The outreach covered the following Tsangaya schools:
* Dakata Tsangaya 1
* Dakata Tsangaya 2
* Dakata Tsangaya 3
* Dakata Tsangaya 4
* Goron Dutse Tsangaya
The official flag-off ceremony took place on 15th May and was attended by key stakeholders, Islamic religious leaders, community representatives, and heads of the participating Tsangaya schools. The event served as a platform to advocate for stronger support systems and improved welfare for Almajiri children.
Subsequently, on the 16th and 17th of May, 2026, outreach teams visited all five Tsangaya schools, where extensive humanitarian activities were carried out. During the outreach:
* Over 7,000 pupils were provided with meals
* More than 5,000 children received clothing support
* Copies of the Holy Qur’an were distributed to the pupils
While carrying out the intervention, the team encountered deeply concerning living conditions affecting the children. Many of the pupils were found sleeping directly on bare floors in overcrowded and unhealthy environments, exposing them to severe health risks and difficult living conditions that fall far below acceptable human standards.
Moved by the realities witnessed during the field visits, Bella Amor Global Aid Foundation, in continued collaboration with the Nigeria Customs Service, has announced plans for the second phase of the intervention project, which will focus on improving the children’s sleeping conditions through the provision of mattresses and other essential welfare materials by the Grace of God.
The Foundation emphasized that every child deserves access to humane living conditions, care, dignity, and opportunities regardless of their social background.
This intervention further highlights the importance of collaborative humanitarian efforts between government institutions, non-governmental organizations, and community leaders in addressing societal challenges affecting vulnerable populations.
