Three year after the devastating Covid-19 pandemic that took thousands of lives across the world and prevented mass gathering of people, Bishop Chris Kwakpovwe-led The Manna Prayer Mountain, an inter-denominational Ministry has finally hosted its annual World Anointing Service in Lagos.

This year’s event themed: “From Insults To Results” held at the church headquarters in Ogudu Ori Oke, Lagos on Saturday 28 January concluded the ministry’s annual 21-day fasting and prayer which begins early January.

As the first anointing service post-Covid 19 era, the greatly event seen by millions as an annual year starter could not hold at its usual annual venue, the expansive Tafawa Balewa Square, TBS, Lagos but streamed live —with English and French translators— to a global audience with over 800,000 enthusiastic worshippers from various nations including the United Kingdom, United States, Ghana, South Africa, Canada, Australia, and Zambia.

Speaking at the service, Bishop Kwakpovwe exalted the Lord for the great opportunity to have the return of the popular annual program.

The charismatic clergy said this year’s service was designed to ensure members of the church and other faithful begin the year with power and anointing.

In attendance at the anointing service was the First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu who expressed gratitude to the Church and its Bishop for the invitation to be part of the anointing service.

She revealed that she’s an ardent reader of the ‘Our Daily Manna’, the wave-making and lives-changing daily devotional published by the Church. Dr. Sanwo-Olu thus called for prayer for peace to reign in Nigeria and particularly Lagos State as we approach the electioneering period.

There were several anointed ministers of God at the service led by the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN President, Most Rev. Daniel Chukwudumebi Okoh who joined Bishop Chris and his wife to minister in prophetic words while various gospel artistes and choirs including CAN Choirs on hand to bless souls with spirit-filled worship songs.
