Police operatives from the Gender Section of the State Command have arrested a 17-year old boy for allegedly Inserting finger into the private parts of two siblings aged 7 and 10, in order to satisfy his sexual desires in Lagos State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 2nd January, 2026, in the afternoon at No.10, Beta Street, Bamako Estate, Ojodu, Lagos, where they reside.
According to the Police, the boy sneaked into the victims apartment when their parents were not around, removed their pants and inserted his fingers into their private parts.
Having satisfied himself, he left and warned the victims not to tell anyone about it. But one of the victims informed their parents about what happened when they were not around.
The matter was reported to the Police in the area and the boy was arrested and transferred to the Gender Section for interrogation over his alleged conduct.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found him culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.
Part of the charges read:
“That you, boy, 17, ‘m’, on the 2nd day of January, 2026, at about 1400hours, at Beta Street, Bamako Estate, Ojodu- Lagos, in the Lagos Magistrate District, did sexually assault the victims aged 10 and 7 years old by inserting your finger inside their private parts, inside their mother’s rented room apartment located at the above address and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 261 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
However, the Court did not take his plea after the prosecutor, Mr. Lucky Ihiehie, asked the Court to give a date and refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O. Tanimola, ordered his remand at the juvenile center pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned for mention for the report of the DPP’s advice, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
The names of the defendant and victims were withheld because they are still minors in line with the Editorial policy of P.M.EXPRESS.
