CHUKA UBAH

While opposition elements in Anambra State have once again tried to blame Governor Soludo and his administration for an accident at Awgbu, an eye witness, Mr. Innocent Okeke, who is from Awgbu town, has said that it was as a result of brake failure.
Narrating what happened, Mr. Okeke said that a trailer carrying cement lost its brakes while descending at Eke Awgbu and crashed into the market. He hinted that the accident could have been prevented if the driver had recognized the signs of brake failure.
“While our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their family, the opposition parties in Anambra State should stop playing politics with everything”.
“A responsible opposition’s role in the state is to educate the public, not to unjustly criticize a working government.
Opposition groups should work with the government to educate drivers across the state about safe driving practices, including driving carefully on slopes, avoiding driving under the influence, refraining from using their phones, and regularly checking their vehicles for faults” Mr. Okeke concluded.
