A network news monitored on Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) Friday night confirmed that Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun indeed resigned her appointment as a Minister from the government of Muhammadu Buhari.
The network news revealed that the President has accepted her resignation, while the Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed has been directed by the President to oversee the Ministry of Finance pending when a new Minister will be appointed.
PM EXPRESS reports that earlier before the NTA network broke the news some few minutes to 10pm, the national television had carried a news that the rumoured resignation of Adeosun was yet to be confirmed.

PRESIDENT BUHARI ACCEPTS RESIGNATION OF FINANCE MINISTER, KEMI ADEOSUN
President Muhammadu Buhari Friday accepted the resignation of the Hon. Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun. The President thanked the Minister for her services to the nation and wished her well in her future pursuits.
The President also approved that the Minister of State Budget and National Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed, should oversee the Ministry of Finance with effect from today.
