Bright Okosodo, also known as Richie Richie, CEO of Ghana-based Bahamas Entertainment has called on Nigerian youths to get more involved in the affairs of the nation by taking more active roles in politics and governance.
Richie made the call in his thank you speech after being presented with an award as Showbiz Personality of the year 2020 by the forum of Nigerians based in Accra.
He said taking a back seat in politics and governance doesn’t help the representation of the youth in the corridors of government.
Richie called on the youth to register as official political party card carrying members so they can be in position to run for elective offices and/or simply register for permanent voters card (PVC) so they will be eligible to vote.
Bright went further to state that showing interest in the affairs of the country and getting involved in politics and governance is the only way to ensure that the youths will be part of decision making in the affairs that matter to them and the country as a whole.
He reiterated that even though not everyone must belong to a political party or run for elective office, voting is the constitutional right of every Nigerian citizen and the way to ensure that the qualified candidates are elected into office is by making sure every youth gets their PVC.
Bright Okosodo aka Richie Richie is also the owner of Bahamas Collection a clothing and fashion accessories line, which deals in wholesale and retail of all types of fashion brands and accessories with offices at Spintex road, Sakumono, Accra, Ghana.
