Buhari Endorses Obaseki At APC Rally
President Muhammadu Buhari Tuesday endorsed the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 10 September election in Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, during the party’s mega rally in Benin, the Edo State capital.
President Buhari who raised the hands of Obaseki and incumbent Governor Adams Oshiomhole, said the electorate in the state should vote for Obaseki and the APC, assuring that Nigeria would soon come out of the prevailing economic doldrums just as it is defeating insurgency in the North-East.
At the rally which was attended by APC governors, ministers and party stalwarts, Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, solicited support for Obaseki, saying there was need for continuity as was the case in Lagos since 1999.
He said Edo state would be transformed like Lagos if the people vote for continuity on Saturday, 10 September.
While addressing the teeming crowd, Obaseki promised to build on the lofty achievements of Governor Oshiomhole.
He promised to create at least 200,000 jobs and ensure women empowerment if voted into power.
At the rally, Governor Oshiomhole danced with dexterity to the admiration of the crowd without a care in the world.
