Political observers and indeed bookmakers have continued to express their satisfaction with the government of the President Muhammadu Buhari for his most recent moves and achievements, chief of which was the national honour bestowed posthumously, on the winner of June 12, 1993 Presidential election, which saw MKO Abiola emerging winner, alongside Babagana Kingibe, Abiola’s running mate and Gani Fawehinmi, late human rights activist (a hero of the June 12 struggle).

It was a time Nigerians spoke in one tone like never before. Unfortunately, the victory was annulled and 25 years down the line, the opinion moulders of the All Progressives Congress, the opposition, and indeed all Nigerians have continued to shower accolades on the Government of the day for a wonderful and democracy – crediting outing. This has positioned the President as a lover of democracy and the rule of law.

Speaking to a college of journalists who besieged his Abuja office to seek his opinion on the matter, the Amaifeke, Orlu born billionaire businessman and a chieftain of the APC, Chief Sir Felix Idiga said, “We’re proud of the President. He keeps striking the right chords and the results have been legendary beats”. He also congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari for the enabling environment given to all the arms of government which saw the judiciary securing the imprisonment of two former governors on the grounds of corruption and misappropriation of public funds kept in their care. Chief Idiga Felix insisted that we haven’t had it this good in a long while.

The President of Jafac Group of companies, Sir Idiga applauded the president on a host of other gains he has recorded, presiding over the affairs of the nation. He hailed the President for the accelerated civil service pension arrears being tackled back to 1994, ex Nigerian airways workers pensions approved for payment, bailouts to states to help with clearing humongous salary arrears in over 20 states, abandoned infrastructure projects revamped, abandoned Ajaokuta steel projects which recently roared back to life.

Other key Infrastructural projects like the Federal highways abandoned and now under construction like the Lagos Ibadan, Lagos – Abeokuta, Ikorodu – Sagamu, Apapa port road, Port Harcourt-Enugu, East West highway, and many others, over 300 federal roads in total, hundreds of roads in Niger Delta, 2nd Niger Bridge construction on about 60%completion, North East insurgency suppressed, territories recovered, rebuilding commenced, Ogoni clean up commenced, unfinished rail way projects restarted and some completed, Kaduna Abuja rail started since 2007 now operational, Abuja light rail started since 2007 now undergoing testing.
