BUPA Unveiled Official Healthcare Principal Partner To Glasgow 2026

Bupa, a global healthcare company, has been announced as the Official Healthcare Principal Partner of Glasgow 2026, Partner of Commonwealth Sport’s GAPS Programme and an Official Partner for Team Scotland as it grows its commitment to inclusion in sport.

As hundreds of thousands of spectators are set to enjoy world-class sporting celebrations across four iconic venues from 23 July to 2 August, Bupa aims to encourage more people to experience the health benefits of movement to inspire healthier communities and promote active lifestyles.

Signing with Glasgow 2026 as a Principal Partner and supporting Commonwealth Sport as a Partner for the GAPS Programme reflects shared values around inclusion. Glasgow 2026 brings together Para and Non-Para athletes to compete on the same global stage, while the GAPS Programme activates in developing and emerging nations to remove barriers to participation and strengthen Para sport pathways across the Commonwealth.

Bringing Para athletes and their coaches together from across the Commonwealth in the final days before Glasgow 2026, the camp is an important part of helping athletes arrive ready to perform at their best. Glasgow 2026 will also set a new standard in how major events can be hosted more sustainably, using existing venues to reduce waste and carbon emissions. This aligns with Bupa’s commitment to making cities healthier and the environment’s role in preventative healthcare.

Bupa is also an Official Partner for Team Scotland and a Partner for the GAPS Programme, an initiative developed by Commonwealth Sport and Griffith University. The GAPS Programme is a network of training camps and partnerships, in developing and emerging nations, that help remove barriers to participation and strengthen Para sport pathways across the Commonwealth contributing to greater diversity at major international events. A camp will take place in Ayr, welcoming GAPS competitors ahead of Glasgow 2026.
