Golden Eaglets stars, Raheem Moyinoluwa Salaudeen and Fawas Ayomide Adeleke, are set to resume preparations as they take the next step in their football development journey with Buruj Football Club and Sports Academy.

The talented duo will join an Italian Consulate General-selected programme this July for a two-week preseason tour in Italy. According to details shared by Buruj Academy, the programme will see both players test themselves against reserve teams of top-flight Italian Serie A clubs.

That matchup provides major exposure for the young players. Facing academy and reserve sides of Serie A clubs offers experience in tactical play, intensity, and professional standards — key elements for players transitioning from youth to senior football.

After the Italy preseason, Salaudeen and Adeleke are scheduled to jet out to the United Kingdom for a summer football camp. Buruj Academy said the UK stint is designed to build further on their international experience, with focus on physical conditioning, technical drills, and competitive matches against local academies.

The journey continues into the Netherlands, where the pair are expected to proceed for another football opportunity. Buruj Football Club and Sports Academy stated this marks another important milestone as both players continue to represent the academy on the international stage.

Raheem Moyinoluwa Salaudeen and Fawas Ayomide Adeleke earned recognition with Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets, the country’s U17 national team. Both are products of Buruj Football Club and Sports Academy in Lagos, an academy known for developing youth players and linking them with trials and programs abroad.

Buruj Academy has previously sent players for exposure tours and trials in Europe, with the goal of helping talents gain professional experience and, where possible, club placements.

For young Nigerian players, preseason tours and summer camps in Europe serve multiple purposes: exposure to different coaching styles, competitive games against academy teams, and visibility to scouts. The Italian Consulate General-backed programme, UK camp, and Netherlands opportunity give Salaudeen and Adeleke a chance to benchmark their progress against European peers.
