Two promising talents from Buruj Football Club and Sports Academy, Raheem Moyinoluwa Salaudeen and Fawas Ayomide Adeleke, have been included in Nigeria’s U-17 national team squad for the upcoming CFA Team China U-17 International Tournament.
The Golden Eaglets will travel to China to compete in the four-nation invitational tournament alongside Tanzania, Australia, and host nation China, as part of their preparations for the WAFU-B U-17 Championship.
The tournament, scheduled to take place from July 5 to July 11, 2026, will provide the Nigerian youngsters with valuable international exposure and an opportunity to build match fitness ahead of future continental assignments.
Nigeria is expected to begin its campaign against Tanzania on July 5, before facing Australia on July 8, and wrapping up against China on July 11.
Buruj Football Club’s midfield duo, Raheem Salaudeen and Fawas Adeleke, have continued to rise through the ranks of Nigerian football. Both players previously represented Nigeria at the U-15 level in the international friendlies against Morocco in 2023, before featuring in the African School Games in Algeria in 2024 and Burkina Faso in 2025.
Their latest call-up to the Golden Eaglets highlights their consistency, talent, and growth as two of Nigeria’s brightest young prospects.
Speaking on the development, the management of Buruj Football Club and Sports Academy described the invitation as a proud moment for the academy and a clear sign of its commitment to youth development.
With the team set to face top opposition from Africa, Asia, and Oceania, all eyes will be on the Buruj duo as they continue their journey in national colours.
