Buruj Joins Ex-Internationals To Honour HRM Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi At The Elegushi Peace Cup

Ex-Internationals in the likes of Dr. Waheed Buruj Salaudeen amidst Austine Jay jay Okocha,  Waidi Akanni, Tijani Babangida, Kanu Nwankwo, Ike Shorunmu, Wasiu Ipaye, Austine Eguavon, Fatai Amoo, Andrew Uwe, Friday Ekpo, Mutiu Adepoju, Victor Ikpeba, Taiwo Oloyede, Daniel Amokachi, Garuba Lawal and Jonathan Akpoborie all poised for peace, unity and harmony at the 11th Coronation Anniversary and 45th Birthday Celebration of His Royal Majesty Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, the 21st Ikate-Elegushi of Elegushi Kingdom.

The event, which was filled with glamour and lots of excitement, also flashed back memories and became frontline discussion as the great Football Icons interacted with each other.

A novelty match was played, where Ex-Internationals clashed with Nigeria Top Comedians and on the other hand A-List Artists in music industry with Nollywood Movie Stars.

In the match played against the Ex-Internationals, ace comedian, Akpororo, scored the first goal for the comedy side.

Victor Ikpeba got hacked down inside the 18 yard box resulting in a penalty, which was well taken by Austine Jay Jay Okocha making the game to end in 1 – 1 Draw.

To round it off, a penalty shoot out was played where Mutiu Adepoju,  Wasiu Ipaye, Friday Ekpo, Taiwo Oloyede, and Kanu Nwankwo all scored their shots on target while Victor Ikpeba lost his penalty.

The Comedy Team beat the Ex-Internationals to qualify for the final.

While in the second group, Team Music qualified for the final.

In the final match, Team Comedy as captained by respected comedian, AY, won the match to climax the glamorous celebration.
