Buruj Football Club/Academy, a renowned grassroots football development institute, is seeking for financial support and partnership in order to actualize the noble dream of a Multi-million Naira Stadium Project.
Over the years, Buruj has made indelible mark in the sporting history of Lagos State and Nigeria at large, registering players to play in the Third Tier League of the Nigerian League system (Nationwide League One).
Since the establishment in 2008, the club/academy has maintained a good legal structure by remitting all our dues in compliance with the Tax Authorities in the country.  Within few years, the outfit has nurtured and exposed Nigeria’s finest potentials to tournaments in United Kingdom, Spain amongst others, matching up with the ever advancing football world.
Buruj is an recognized affiliate of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) and recently ranked topmost as the leading football establishment by its Technical Department.
The sporting outfit stepped up with the acquisition of 3 acres of land in a well grounded environment at their home base in Ogolonto Ikorodu, early this year for the construction of the proposed Multi-Million Naira Stadium Project.
The dream project will house a swimming pool, 5000 spectators capacity, changing room for two teams, Tennis Cort, Shopping Mall, Mini-Mart, Event Hall, Hostel, Athletic track, Clinic, Learning Centre that can be used as annex to most tertiary Institutions within and outside Nigeria.
In order to make this dream a reality and further complement the build-up process of the stadium towards its actualization, the academy/football club is set to partner with Corporate Estate Agents, Developers, Marketers, Financial Institutions, Business Organisations, Foreign Investors, Football lovers amongst other elites across Nigeria and supporters of grassroots football across the globe.
Speaking on the dream project, the CEO, Dr Waheed Salaudeen Buruj, said “We are motivated to do more for scattered talents within the ikorodu axis, Lagos state environs and across the nation who have great passion for football while engaging the youths to cub high crime rate and illicit acts which is very rampant amongst youths of this day”.
“Also, the stadium will aid the reduction of daily hardship faced in the Nigerian football industry which includes but not limited to lack of proper training facility, high cost of transportation which are the major fuel igniting the success of the business, lack of all these basic amenities raise the expenditure of the club above the normal spending limit annually, all the public facilities cost a lot of money per hour.”
