In continuation of getting quality coaching at the grassroots in Lagos State, the third batch of grassroots football coaches graduated as certified coaches from the National Institute for Sports (NIS) last Saturday.
The specialised one-month training course facilitated by the Lagos State Football Association in conjunction with the institution saw one of the technical crew of Buruj Sports Academy, Coach Aminu Fatai Adekunle, among the graduates.
The initiative by the Lagos State Football Association is to address the challenge of unqualified coaches at the grassroots in order to help the growth and development of the game in the state.
Aminu thanked the management of Buruj Sports Academy and the Lagos State Football Association for providing the enabling environment.
“It’s a dream come true, it’s a step towards enhancing the quality of education the students are getting from the academy.”
“Let me use this opportunity to thank the management of Buruj Sports Academy and the Lagos State Football Association led by El Hadj L’meed Gafar for providing the enabling environment” Aminu said.
According to a release by the LSFA, the initiative is targeting over 5000 grassroots coaches as the FA is committed to establishing a true football ecosystem within the state.
