Buruj Football Club and Buruj Sports Academy have another reason to celebrate as talented young defender, Prosperity Samuel Anionovo, earns an invitation to the Nigeria U-15 national team, popularly known as the Future Eagles.

The young defender is among the 23 players invited by head coach Patrick Bassey to the national team’s preparatory camp ahead of the FIFA U-15 Youth World Cup and Festival in Baku, Azerbaijan, scheduled for October 22 to 31, 2026.

According to the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, invited players are expected to report to the NFF/FIFA Goal Project Hostel at the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.

Anionovo’s inclusion places him among a select group of young footballers being considered for Nigeria’s preparations for the international youth football event.

For Buruj Football Club and Buruj Sports Academy, the invitation represents an important milestone in the development of one of their young defensive prospects.

The recognition also provides an opportunity to showcase the club’s commitment to nurturing young footballers, developing their abilities and supporting their progression to higher levels of the game.

At Buruj, the football journey goes beyond training and competition. The academy promotes a development pathway that combines football education, discipline, competitive experience and academic growth to prepare young players for future opportunities.

Anionovo’s invitation is an encouraging step in that journey.

Being invited to a national team camp is an important opportunity for a young player to demonstrate his qualities, learn from the national coaching crew and compete for a place in the final squad.

As a defender representing Buruj Football Academy, Anionovo will have the opportunity to work alongside other promising talents from across Nigeria as preparations begin for the Azerbaijan 2026 football festival.

His invitation also highlights the important role grassroots clubs and academies play in identifying and developing the next generation of Nigerian footballers.

The management of Buruj Football Club and Buruj Sports Academy has celebrated Prosperity Samuel Anionovo on the significant achievement and wished him success at the national team camp.

The club also acknowledged the importance of coaches, teammates, family members and everyone who contributes to the development of young footballers.

The invitation, the club noted, is an achievement worth celebrating, and the next objective is to make the most of the opportunity.

As attention turns to the Future Eagles’ preparations for Azerbaijan 2026, Buruj Football Club said it remains proud to see its young defender take another step forward in his football journey.
