A 36-year old businesswoman, Mrs. Aina Adeola has been arrested and charged before a Lagos court after she allegedly bolted away with Chivita company’s N5million worth of products.
The incident happened at the company’s premises located at Chivita Avenue in Ajao Estate, Lagos.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the suspect allegedly conspired with other suspects still at large and carried the goods without the knowledge of the management.
How they managed to escape with products worth that amount of money was still a surprise to the management, but it was gathered that there was an insider collaboration.
However, the act later leaked, the company discovered the theft, arrested the suspect and handed her to the police at Ajao Division. Her accomplices were said to be at large.
The suspect was charged before Isolo Magistrates court for conspiracy and stealing under the Criminal Code. She however pleaded not guilty.
The female prosecutor, Mrs Rita Momah did not object to her bail but urged the court to grant her bail in such a way she will come to face trial in the interest of justice.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs A.O.Adedayo granted her bail in the sum of N1m with two sureties in like sum.
She was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 11th of September, 2017.
