The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ikeja Local Government Chapter, has nominated the member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, and the Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), for its prestigious Servant Leadership Merit Award 2026 in recognition of their outstanding performance, selfless service and contributions to community development.

The Coordinator of CAN, Ikeja Local Government Chapter, Evangelist Rotimi Olufemi Ajayi, disclosed the nominations during the association’s monthly prayer meeting held at the council secretariat.

The association said the awards were in acknowledgement of the recipients’ commitment to impactful leadership and their contributions to the growth and development of Ikeja Federal Constituency.

While Hon. Faleke is being recognised for his outstanding representation and contributions to the constituency, Comrade Dauda’s nomination reflects his strides in transforming Ikeja through people-oriented programmes, infrastructure development, social welfare initiatives and inclusive governance.

The association described Comrade Dauda’s leadership achievements in Ikeja as unprecedented, noting the visible impact of his administration’s policies and programmes on residents and communities.

According to him, the awards will be presented during the association’s 2026 Revival Programme scheduled for Friday, November 6, 2026, at the Chapel of Christ the Light, Central Business District, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.

The programme, with the theme “Thy Kingdom Come” (Matthew 6:10), will commence at 12 noon and feature prayers, biblical teachings, prophetic ministration, praise and worship, and other spiritual activities.

The Chairman of CAN, Lagos State, Bishop (Prof.) S.T.V. Adegbite, Ph.D., GPJ, is expected to lead the programme, while Apostle Wole Oladiyun, General Overseer of CLAM will minister.

Choirs from CAN’s affiliated Christian denominations and fellowships, including CSN, CCN, OAIC, TEKAN/ECWA and CPFN/PFN, will also minister in songs.
