Church Administrators Society of Nigeria, CASON, has announced that Nigeria’s first-ever Master of Business Administration [MBA] degree in Church Administration as a discipline will launch this year, in its unique collaboration with Babcock University.

CASON President, Pastor Seyi Oladimeji, himself a doctoral scholar, announced this in his speech at the graduation ceremony of the CASON-Babcock graduates of Executive Diploma in Church Administration (EDCA) held at the Ilishan, Ogun State main campus, recently.

“The soon-to-start MBA in Church Administration is a transformational leadership pathway designed for pastors, administrators, and ministry leaders who desire to combine spiritual calling with strategic competence. This programme goes beyond traditional ministry training, by equipping participants with advanced skills in leadership, governance, financial stewardship, organisational behaviour, and strategic management, all within a Christ-centred framework” Oladimeji said.

“Our pioneer MBA candidates will be empowered to lead healthy, mission-driven churches by developing systems that support growth, accountability, and long-term sustainability through a carefully structured curriculum that integrates business leadership with ministry practice.

“The MBA will prepare leaders to navigate the complexities of modern ministry with wisdom and excellence. Graduates will emerge not only as pastors or administrators but as transformational leaders who can build resilient teams, steward resources effectively, and guide churches into the future while remaining faithful to The Great Commission” Oladimeji further explained.

The President and Vice Chancellor of Babcock University, Prof. Afolarin Olutunde Ojewole, also spoke glowingly of the collaboration with CASON.

He said: “There is always a need to keep improving intellectually, especially in strengthening ourselves in identified weaknesses or knowledge gaps.

“And this is why we are excited as a foremost institution of academic excellence in this collaboration with CASON.”

The EDCA graduation ceremony, the third in its series, was exciting as the graduands and faculties of both CASON and Babcock University turned out in their colourful academic robes.
